Abstract
Construction and equivalence of APN functions play a significant role in the research of cryptographic functions. On finite fields of characteristic 2, six infinite families of APN power functions and thirteen infinite families of APN polynomial functions have been constructed in the literature. Yoshiara showed that CCZ-equivalence between APN power functions in characteristic 2 reduces to cyclotomic equivalence. After that, in 2018, Dempwolff generalized Yoshira’s result to any characteristic p. Moreover, some results on equivalence between known families of APN polynomial functions and APN power functions were obtained. In this paper, we show that two other known infinite families of APN polynomial functions are CCZ-inequivalent to APN power functions.
